Summary
Will wishes he could take a mental snapshot of their life now and somehow send it back to his teenage self. Just to let him know that he's going to have this: their bed, and their shitty shoebox apartment, and Mike, who has a screwed up sleeping schedule, and who leaves his dirty clothes anywhere but the hamper, and who kisses the corner of Will's mouth when Will is doing the dishes, and who wants to do things with Will—the things that made Will so scared and miserable for wanting them at sixteen. Mike, who is completely naked, propped up on the elbows, and looking up at Will like he hung the moon.
Will's twenty years of deep happiness and acceptance told through the series of firsts.

Summary
In the summer of 1989, the Byers family moves to Montauk, cutting short Mike and Will's last summer together before college. This was not her father’s honey-sweet voice. It sounded like gravel running through a rock tumbler. And he never, ever called her just Rose, unless she was in big trouble. “You need to run. NOW.”

Mike wakes ten years in the future, a successful novelist and in a committed relationship with Will.

Will’s reddened eyes narrow, bewildered. “Mathematically?”
“If there’s two hits left, we’d each only get one,” Mike explains. “But if we shotgunned, we’d both get two.” God, this is the best idea he’s had in ages. He should’ve stolen Will’s weed, like, months ago. “That’s like, bang for your buck. This is simple math, Will Byers. Keep up.”
In which it’s well past midnight in New York, Will can’t sleep, and Mike feels like they barely know each other anymore.
So, they get a little high. Mike is very normal about all of it.

"I just need you to know," Will says quietly, and he makes himself hold Mike's gaze, "that if something happens - if I hurt you, or anyone else - it's not because I wanted to. I would never want to hurt you, Mike. Never."
The words hang between them, loaded with more meaning than Will intended.
There's a pause where all Will can hear is their breathing echoing against the storage closet's walls. The hum is more distant now, buzzing in the back of Will's mind, but the uneven inhales coming from in front of him sound louder. The breath tickling his nose (because they really are that close) feels realer.
Mike's eyes are still darting across Will's face, and Will can feel him inhale sharply. "Will, why are you so convinced you're going to hurt someone? What did Vecna show you?"
Everything, Will thinks. He showed me everything. Showed me killing you over and over until I couldn't see anything else.
Somewhere between slaying interdimensional eldritch horrors, exploding an entire dimension, and risking their lives countless times, Mike and Will find each other.

“Yes!” Will is perhaps a bit exasperated, “Stephen and Jay are clearly Steve and Robin, and James is Hopper,” at the blank look they give him, he clarifies, “his first name is Jim.”
This somehow only makes Lucas seem more unimpressed, “okay, but you do see how that’s more suspicious right?”
“What? That Mike can’t come up with names?”
“No,” Lucas shakes his head and clasps Will in the shoulder, “that the first name Mike thought to cannibalize when coming up with a boyfriend for you was his own”.The party grows closer after Will moves in with the Wheelers, picking up D&D again. It all goes well until Mike introduces a new character, Sir. Gabriel Whepler, whose sole purpose seems to be flirting with Will.

Wei Wuxian finds Lan Wangji on the field. The ball is nowhere near him but he seems to have fallen inexplicably backwards, sitting on the grass as he looks up at the giant screen.
Right up at the footage of him.
(AU where A-Yuan is professional footballer Lan Wangji's biggest fan, and his babysitter Wei Wuxian wants nothing more than to forget his days as the photographer of their school football team, calling out to the captain from the stands just so he'd look around at him.)
