Summary
Heaven is no longer failing under the weight of its ever-growing number of souls. Jack is the golden thread that weaves together the tapestry of this universe—not just in Heaven, but on Earth and throughout the multiverse.
But the burden is heavy for Jack to bear alone. Castiel helps, as best as he can, but he can see the son he loves struggling with the responsibilities of a godhood he never desired.
Castiel feels certain there must be a way to free him from God’s throne, but he’ll need Dean’s help in convincing Jack it’s alright to come home again.

Take me back to Eden, take me back to EdenJack is dead, Chuck has declared “The End,” and Castiel’s relationship with Dean has never been more broken. Seeing no reason to stay on Earth, Castiel attempts to surrender to the Empty, only to be rejected and condemned to further suffering.
He asks Naomi for one favor, then, in order to return to Heaven and serve with the last of his brethren: to erase all memories of his years and involvement with the Winchesters and Jack, as the loss is too great for him to bear.
Meanwhile, Dean and Sam must deal with Chuck on their own—or perhaps with the help of a few familiar faces and surprising allies. Little do they know about the Empty and Billie’s plan for Jack, which takes a change in course when the Winchesters lock away Chuck, but Amara remains free.
Castiel discovers a group of souls determined to save Heaven in their own way—souls who also seem to know more about him and his past than he does. Paths eventually re-converge, but will Cas be able to remember who he once was? And is there any hope of healing his relationship with Dean?

Angel Radio needs a new hero. That is, they need a new DJ to anchor their classic rock channel, and Dean Winchester of Sioux Falls, South Dakota just might be the man for the job. That's the directive Castiel receives from his boss, Naomi: recruit Dean to leave his morning shift at KARZ and move to the Los Angeles, where a more lucrative career in broadcasting could await him.
But Dean's not sure he can leave his friends and found family behind—not even when Castiel shows up looking like someone who could light his fire, and the attraction is entirely mutual.

The last anyone’s seen of Castiel was when he was banished from the bunker by Toni Bevell. The Brits swear they don’t have him. Neither Heaven nor Hell claim to know of his whereabouts. All of Dean’s calls, texts and prayers to the angel have gone unanswered, and Dean can’t help but worry that a “Winchester win” has once again come at a terrible price.
One day hope finally arrives in a lead from an unexpected if not always trustworthy ally. However finding Cas might end up being only the first step in saving him—not simply from the forces holding him captive, but from the prison of his own mind.

Summary
After the sun is restored and the Woman of Letters banishes Castiel, he falls and becomes human, lost and alone in a place far from home. Four hundred and fifty-one days later, Sam finds him.
He tells Castiel that Dean is alive.
So they go. They go and they arrive at the bunker and Sam’s acting strange and there’s something that he’s not telling Castiel, something about Dean.
And then Castiel finally reunites with Dean.
And there is something about Dean.
Something about Dean that has Dean pulling Castiel into tight embraces, something about Dean that has Dean running his thumb across Castiel’s cheek with a tender look in his eyes, and something about Dean that has Dean shaking when Castiel says certain things to him, things that are normal, things that should not affect him this way.
There is something about Dean that no one is telling him.
