“I’m you,” Oscar replied with a bored look.
Lando scoffed and tucked his knees as close as possible to his chest, an unnerving feeling growing. “No you’re not, you’re- I don’t even know what you are.”
Oscar smirked to himself, a hit of amusement growing on his face. “I mean, I’m Oscar- the Oscar you knew- but I’m also you.”
There was a beat of silence, and then, “What?” Lando asked exasperatedly.

What is love ?
Wanting to spend your every waking moment with them ? Loving the way they smile at you ? Feeling seen ? Feeling comfortable ? Feeling like the most important thing in the world when they look at you like that ? Like nothing else matters ? Always seeking physical contact because once you got a taste of that specific drug you can not live without it anymore ?That kind of closeness is normal though for teammates, right ? Right ? That doesnt mean you are in love ? Or does it ?
Alternative summary: Oscar is falling head over heels and hard for his first teammate in F1 and needs some time to grasp that aka denial. Lando is falling head over heels and hard for his new teammate in F1 and needs a whole lot of time to grasp that aka obliviousness. Their shared high stress work environment is not always helpful. Their shared friends at least try to be helpful. Chaos, a lot of "Thats normal though, right?" moments and literally any other person on the grid realizing their feelings before them ensues. Also, a loooooot of touching and cuddling because, honestly, why not ?
Buckle up, this ride will be crazy but definitly worth the hassle ;)

Summary
It's Zandvoort 2025 just finished, and in the aftermath of about four different afterparties of pure depression, Lando Norris, the unluckiest F1 driver of all time, finds himself on his balcony, wallowing in self pity. The points gap to championship rival Oscar Piastri is fucking 34 now, making breaching it seem like a lost fucking hope. Not that Lando is known for his talents in the hope retention department.
As typical of him, lando gets crossfaded off his ass. His fake PR relationship 'girlfriend', Magui, left an hour ago. His family isn't here. He'd left Verstappen and Charles to snog behind a bar somewhere and hadn't seen them since. Lando feels like shite. He's inebriated.
He decides the best way to deal with his issues is to die.
The guy who stops him, is of course, fucking Piastri.

Lando was mid-sip when he overheard the tail end of Max and Charles’ conversation. His ears perked up, and he froze in place, replaying what he just heard. Suddenly, he coughed, choking as his coffee nearly shot out of his nose. “Wait, hold on did Charles just ask Max out for lunch?”
He looked over at Lewis, who was leaning casually against the wall with a knowing grin, clearly entertained by Lando’s reaction.
