Summary
After Angel Dust walks away from the Hazbin Hotel and back into Valentino’s control, both he and Husk begin to unravel in very different ways.
Husk, left behind at the hotel, spirals under the weight of what he didn’t do, what he couldn’t fix, and the growing belief that waiting might be the cruelest failure of all. As Angel’s sense of self fractures under control and conditioning, Husk begins to fear that saving him may require crossing the same lines that broke him in the first place.
Because in Hell, even good intentions can become a cage.

My friends can attest to how much this fic means to me because I sent them all a video of me sobbing so hard that I couldn't see the words in front of my screen to continue the chapters. It took me three days to regain the emotional stability to complete this simply because of how raw, realistic and emotionally-charged this story is: the way the reader sees themselves in Bilbo and then realises how sometimes the anxieties really do creep in on you and cripple you; in Thorin, when he puts on that front and denies madness for the sake of his people; in the dwarves, who are the very embodiment of 'agape' love - this story is everything i could ever want and more. I only wish I had found it earlier.

Fortunately for him, there’s a new face in the underground info business - well, a new face in the sense that somebody’s been supplying good info to both sides. Tentatively given the name ‘Harbinger’, this broker supposedly knows more than the internet.
Unfortunately for him, Harbinger doesn’t seem to want to help him out. Go figure. More work for him.
