"Is everything okay?”
“Oh thank God,” Marcy breathes. Somewhere in the vicinity of the call she can hear what sounds like a struggle. Someone yells and another person screams in pain. “We, uh, we need you to come in. Like, as fast as you can.”
Anne blinks.
“Marcy, you know that I don’t do that,” she starts, “We’ve been over this. Your work stays at work and I’m not getting involved with it just because your boss thinks-”
Marcy growls in frustration and something behind her in the call shrieks. The sound is eerily familiar and the goosebumps running up Anne’s spine can’t seem to decide why.
“What the fuck is that?!”
“That!” Marcy growls, “Is why I need you here. Goddamnit, Anne, they found her!”
Anne is still lost.
“Found who?!”
“Sasha!”
____Of fantasy worlds you could fall into from your own, some are nicer than others. Even still, most of them aren't The Backrooms.

She had gotten so hyper-focused on working on the webcomic she forgot what day it was- a bad habit picked up while living alone- so she resorted to digging through old DVDs at the last minute. Nothing had particularly caught her eye, until she stumbled upon her copy of War of the Warlocks. A shaking hand timidly traces over the aged cover art, before Marcy notices a bent emerald corner merge with the intense sunset, no doubt due to the passage of the years. They’re so intertwined that you can’t tell where one stops and the other begins. She feels metal scraping against her teeth and jerks away unconsciously.
Or: Marcy has a no good very bad evening/night that ends on a slightly better note.

The hand was warm when it touched her cheek, idly tracing the scar while glowing green eyes - any eyes - bore into Sasha.
“…and I would willingly break worlds for you.”

Marcy loves Sasha, Sasha loves Anne, and Anne loves both. Too bad this fic is also set in a Bad End AU where Marcy got a corruption arc, DnD is her basis for romance, the Earth and majority of the humans are enslaved, and Anne and her allies are missing. Oh, and Sasha is her unwilling betrothed.
No big deal though, right?

The Trio lost the battle to take down Andrias, each suffering at the mercy of the Core, and Earth fell. But in a last-ditch attempt to save their lives and stop any further destruction, the box was broken, leaving them in a position to negotiate for freedom. Now, Marcy and Sasha spend half their time under mind control, while the Core continues to search for a way to drain Anne's powers into the box.
This new state of existence, though, slowly breaks one down, Marcy learns over the months. But how can you plan an escape when you don't think you deserve one, and when your mind and memories are not your own?

"Oh" Marcy whispered.
Her eyes wandered to a singular chip in the wood of one of the white towers. She hadn't noticed it before. It must've been recent - probably from one (or both) of them getting too carried away and quite literally throwing the pieces off the table whenever they ate them. It had a perfectly reasonable explanation, yet...it felt wrong, off-putting.
"Hey, how did that-"
"But, Marcy" The King interrupted her like he hadn't heard her, leaning over the table, hands on each side of their board. He almost looked menacing.
