Alex is so tired.
He reaches to the right for a rapidly emptying bottle, fishes three Extra Strength Tylenol PM out, and swallows them dry. His headache cap is in the freezer, but if he gets up it’ll make the pounding in his head worse. He sighs once more, rubs the back of his neck at the base of his skull for a moment in an attempt to relieve at least a speck of tension, and goes back to his work, intent on pushing through the growing migraine that threatens to melt his brain. There’s no point in trying to wait it out anyway.
It’s not like it’ll be any different tomorrow.
