It's mostly crack-ish ;) all parts stand alone, so if you're feeling more like "I like my cracky stuff in smaller dosages", I'd recommend parts 1-3.
...but if you're really feeling up to breaking the fourth wall with a sledgehammer made out of crack, please join the wild ride that is part 4. Plotwise part 5 seems to be coming around :D

She wore a dress of simple green velvet, her hair braided and coiled at the nape of her neck, but no jewels. Nor had she yet put on a headdress, or even a veil, which only added to Aegon’s sense of unease. His mother had summoned him before she had donned her full court costume, which meant she truly had words for him which could not wait. Now, she reached a hand out for him, from across her desk, and frightened, he took it, tightening his fingers around his mother’s. “I’m sorry. I wish I did not have to deliver this news to you today of all days, but it is best you know. She was your daughter, though you never met her."
Shortly after Maelor's birth, Aegon learns that his bastard daughter, born six years ago to the first girl he ever loved, has died.
