Millennia ago, a bitter Vidyadhara delved into research nobody had ever dared to conduct, and developed an unrefined theory on how to create a sentient, immortal, ever-regenerating Abomination. The Vidyadhara hid his work carefully, and none ever found it.
Centuries ago, the Imbibitor Lunae, High Elder of the Vidyadhara, and the Furnace Master, a fiery short-life species, fell in love and bound themselves together with a soul vow. The Imbibitor Lunae stumbled upon the sinful Vidyadhara's work mere days before an Emnator of Abundance named Shuhu struck, and when the Furnace Master perished in the chaos, he took a bit of Shuhu's flesh, gave up his Dragon Heart, and invoked the Transmutation Arcanum. He created exactly what the Vidyadhara's theory described. A sentient, immortal, ever-regenerating Abomination.
Dan Heng has paid the price for his unknown past as long as he lived. Born as a young man in the Shackling Prison aboard the Xianzhou Luofu, he was imprisoned, then released and exiled forever. But that pales in comparison to the man, who is fury incarnate and vengeful to a fault. Stuck in the shadow of a mysterious person named Yinyue-jun, Dan Heng runs for his life, and it all comes to a head one day.

Sirius Orion Black's life has always been filled with darkness.
First it was the darker magics his mother taught him. Then it was his obsession, his love, with James Fleamont Potter. Then it was the war. Then it was the years in Azkaban. Then it was the time on the run and subsequently imprisoned in his childhood home. Finally, it was that day when the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters fought fiercely in the Death Chamber down in the Department of Mysteries.
It's fitting that the boy raised in darkness would simply melt into it one day.
alternatively: I, an amateur writer, had inspiration one day, blacked out over my phone, and when I come back I find this saved on a google docs. this is basically Sirius' life, but told with a fuckton of flowery prose and ambiguous meanings.

Grimmauld Place was once a small spark of magic buried deep in the earth. Then it was Black's Magic, Black's Hut, Black Cottage, Black Tower, and Black Townhouse before someone called it a "grim, old place" and the name stuck. Case in point: it had been around for centuries, and fueled by the devotion and power of generations of Blacks, it will not falter even in the face of a dead family and unsuitable heir — especially if there is a perfectly suitable master nearby.
Harry Potter survived the Killing Curse when he was a wee babe and everyone says that the fame will get to his head after a while, as if that justifies leaving him with horrible muggle relatives that work him like a house elf and treat him as poorly, if not poorer, than one. He thinks it's justified that he likes the musty yet familiar Grimmauld Place better than the sterile and stress-inducing Number Four Privet Drive. Now all he has to do is make sure he doesn't rot the curtains and keep a look out for the sentient house, lest he forget about the wards and they crumble like biscuits.

And he'd found a way to not die, and he didn't care about the consequences.

It became almost a habit to obsessively throw himself at anything remotely related to Voldemort, regard to his own life be damned. If he died, he could rest.

There's a moment of frightening clarity, and Harry's mind involuntarily jumps to a clause only heard in wedding vows said with conviction at holy altars. He wants to laugh hysterically, for Harry James Potter and Tom Marvolo Riddle have never been anything more than two kindred spirits kept from each other before they could ever meet, and the Boy-Who-Lived and Lord Voldemort have never been anything more than the worst kind of enemies.
