Summary
Ok Ok. So firstly, some heavy themes in this. Second, I got this idea from a video. This is a fanfic about how Sid Phillips might see things. Also cuz I suck, I added a bit of 'Crushing on the neighbor' cliche. This isn't much of a summery rather than a note but I'm keeping it. Also, I will try to make the chapters seem like oneshots, with them all following the same story, just so you can read and it still feel satisfied.

“ Look. Uh, Wooly.”
“ Woo-dy.” He corrects harshly, making the human snort.
“ Right. Woody.” He actually regrets the correction. Hearing his name fall from Sid’s lips brings a sinking pit-like feeling to his stomach. Sid brings a finger up to rub at Woody’s polished, plastic hair. He doesn’t know if it’s meant to be comforting or intimidating. He jerks his head away and grimaces as he feels a stitch in his arm strain at the movement.
“ I’m not going to hurt you. Okay? I told Andy I’d bring you home all fixed and cleaned up. He’d noticed if you were suddenly covered in stitches.” At Woody’s no doubt terrified expression, he groans. “ Come on, man! You’re making it uncomfortable.”
“ I’m making you uncomfortable? Oh, I’m sorry.” Woody scoffs, spread-eagled. “ I apologize. Next time I’ll let you string me up and hang me by my pull cord without any argument.”
“ See. That’s what I mean.” Sid tells him and, without warning, presses his index finger right up against Woody’s popped seam.Series

“ Holy shit, you’re soaked!” Andy breathes, and Sid laughs breathily, pressing a kiss to Andy’s jaw and nipping at it. A pleasured rumble grows in his chest.
“ Don’t look so shocked. You put on a pretty good show, cowpoke. Rode my hand like a champ.”
Andy’s face goes red. Woody’s jaw drops without his permission.
“ C-cowpoke?” Andy shudders, and Woody is forced to shut his mouth and fall limp when his kid finally looks at him.
Their eyes meet. They meet, kind of.
Woody can’t. He can’t really look his kid in the eye, can’t give away that there’s something here inside of him. But his eyes- that’s where Andy is looking, and that’s all that matters. Andy's brow pinches, teeth catching his swollen bottom lip as he gazes at his childhood friend. Oh. He likes it. The. Cowboy thing.

Summary
Although they both had younger sisters and were about the same age, Sid could list a hundred reasons how they were different: first of all, Andy only played with fragile baby toys, the ones that ripped and broke easily—Sid blew toys like that up, and kept the sturdier ones who could handle a transplant or two. Secondly, he wasn’t really into action as much as Sid was, something the older boy could tell from listening at the fence as Andy roleplayed with his favorite toys, saving the town, getting the girl, etc. Sid wouldn’t admit that he didn’t really know how to play with toys, so to speak, preferring to cut them open and replace their limbs with various objects.
They didn’t play together, and they weren’t friends. Still, that hadn’t stopped Sid from preparing something a few days before Andy’s birthday party.
