Summary
“Shut the fuck up.”, Will whispers because he can’t, he just can’t deal with Mike’s confusing ass right now. The soft light is illuminating Mike’s features, jaw carved out so perfectly, cheekbones high, eyes so dark Will feels like they’re swallowing him. “You are, too.”, he adds.
“Prettier than your lame boyfriend?”, Mike ask, voice somehow careful and urgent at the same time.
“Mike…” Will shivers a little, not sure what to do with himself. It’s ridiculous for Mike to actually believe Will has a boyfriend; if that were the case, he would’ve never stepped a foot into this bed. But somehow, Mike’s need to come out on top compared to the guy he is supposedly dating makes Will break out in goosebumps all over.
“That’s not a no.”, Mike remarks.
“That’s not a no.”, Will whispers, scared to move at all and break the moment.
A soft grin plays at the corner of Mike’s mouth, “Oh, yeah?”
“Yeah.”, Will nods, “But you knew that already.”

Summary
It’s 1990 and Will and Jonathan have been living in New York for over a year now, and many months have passed with little correspondence between Will and Mike. Both struggle to pinpoint how they feel over letters due to Mike’s depression and lack of enthusiasm, and consequently Will’s increasing feelings of detachment and borderline annoyance. This changes one day when Mike is suddenly struck with purpose as he nears the ending of his first novel. He decides this is the prime time to commission Will for the cover of his book, but there is one thing Mike doesn’t account for: the possibility that Will might be moving on. Moving on from the tragic events in Hawkins, coming to terms with the death of his sister...and forgetting about him.

“Mike, please.” Will pleaded, closing his eyes against the light, or perhaps it was too much effort to keep them open. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You won’t,” Mike whispered, surprised at how vulnerable he sounded, at the shake and utter defeat in his voice. “You won’t kill me, Will. Because we’re the same. We can’t hurt each other, even at the end of the world.”

Her jaw made an audible snap when she forced it closed after hearing her name come from the caller's mouth, she forced her gasp back down her throat, not wanting him to know just how scared she was that he knew her name.
Her breathing came out choppy as she hurried to the windows to peak out the curtains, she was positive he wasn't in her house, there's no way he could be, but she wasn't so positive that he wasn't outside her house. She didn't respond to him after hearing her name, he found amusement in that if his laugh was anything to go by.
"Peek-a-Boo, I see you Chrissy," he teased her with another laugh that made her flinch, "Can you see me?" He taunted.

The man laughed, harsh and terrifying. "Oh, deviants," He started, "Always so naive. How could you forget that?" Gavin inched forward silently. He could nearly strike the man.
"Why are you doing this?" Connor screamed at the man. "Why are you killing innocent people?"
"Why do you think, Detective?" He snarled, the word laced with contempt. "I killed because I knew you'd come right to me."

I’m here scared out of my mind, and all I am worried about is you being upset.” Eddie shakes his head. “I’m the one who has to walk away from you,” he said, looking directly at Buck, his voice trembling.
“Eddie…” Buck says, his voice breaking.
“Don’t … Buck don’t…”
“Don’t what, Eddie?”
"Don’t let me leave like this,” Eddie whispers, his voice barely audible. His hand, trembling slightly, reaches out to Buck’s uniformed chest. With a gentle, yet determined motion, he slides his finger between the buttons, tugging Buck closer. Buck's heart races as he instinctively wraps his strong arms around Eddie's tense frame, pulling him into a tight embrace. The two friends find solace in each other, holding on to each other if they were the other's lifeline.

There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”
