Arthur is a twat. An absolute douche and Merlin just can't stand to be around him anymore, for that he was so arrogant and praised for things Merlin had done. His wish to just run off, out of Camelot and never return grew bigger with everytime he had to safe his prince, adding a new secret to his endless collection. The prince he loved and hated so much at the same time.
So one unforgiving and tiring day - he justs snaps.

Summary
The year is 2260, marking almost a century and a half since the last and final war of Earth. The war that sent the last of humanity fleeing to the Stars since they destroyed their home for good. Now the only man left standing in the world of blue and green was Merlin. The world is no longer toxic with nuclear fumes, nature took back its land, and the earth was thriving for the first time in thousands of years.
Merlin lived amongst the wildlife and over growth of the land as though he was one of them (just with a little more technology). He stayed there for one reason, the same as he always had, for the return of his King. The return of Arthur Pendragon, the once and future King. Finally, after 1,757 years, his wait has come to an end.

Even when the things he does for Arthur leaves him with night terrors. Night terrors he doesn't let anyone but Gaius know about. Especially not Arthur. But not telling Arthur means avoiding hunting trips and long trips to the border. Maybe it hurts Arthur's feelings, to think that Merlin is avoiding him. So he plans a few days long trip with Merlin. As for Merlin, well, it isn't as though he can avoiding sleeping for the entire time.

This started out as a short ficlet about how Spencer's life would be with an eating disorder, but quickly spiraled into an 'au' wherein he really just gets fucked over by life. There are multiple storylines going on throughout, also involving other bau peeps!
