Summary
The people behind Minecraft haven't always been ones to keep secrets about the game and it’s features from their players. Holding big events for update announcements were a treat to watch and even better to play when released for the public to experience. So seeing an email from Mojang themselves asking him to install an unreleased early version of an update was a surprise to Tommy.
Or: Tommy and his friends find themselves transported to a world just like Minecraft, and now it's up to them to find a way home.

Summary
In a world filled with superpowers, you would think that the daily struggles of life would be easier. Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo find that, that isn't the case at all for three young boys that turn to a life of crime to be able to put food on the table. Shouta freezes, hoping it can only see movement, but his prayers go unanswered when its gaze immediately lands on him, taking in his injured form. He lets out a hiss, warning the thing to back off. It only tilts its head, eyes still stuck on him. The fur on its head stands up straight, bright purple in warning. Beware. Venomous.

It was a normal mission. Dismantling fighting rings was routine for M'staeng at this point. What was not normal was getting himself captured on one of those missions, but that was fine. H'kye killing him when she inevitably rescued him scared him more than anything the Homn'cli could do to him. It wouldn't be too bad.
Of course, he didn't expect for the Homn'cli to have captured a fucking human, much less make them his cellmate. Sharing a cage with a species considered death incarnate wasn't how M'staeng saw his imprisonment going.

Why you might ask? Because Mr Morris is talking with the fucking Craft family right outside the car door. The car where Tommy and Tubbo are currently trapped in, like lambs waiting to be slaughtered.
The most powerful - most bloodthirsty - crime family in the entire country. Hell, even in the entire world is right outside their door. And Tommy and Tubbo are about to be traded away to solve some dumbass grudge between the two gangs.
or 3/4 SBI are a powerful crime family and Tommy and Tubbo get traded to them to solve an old grudge. The clingy duo are constantly thinking that they are going to die but are actually getting adopted.
