A kid. One that looked to be around eight years old, lanky in height and hunched over as his eyes scanned the scene in some sort of nervous-guilt. A notebook jutting out of the pocket of his trousers. A silver gun shaking in his hands.
A literal child with a gun.
A child who, Techno assumes, shot five people through their foreheads with pinpoint accuracy.
A child who saved The Blood God.

It chuffed into Tommy’s hair, “Runt..”
“What..?” Tommy whimpered again, sniffling as he looked up in confusion.
The Something had taken its skull mask off—it was a mask and not its actual face—and it looked.. cute?
Tommy had gone to the town fair with his mother before. There they had all sorts of animals, and The Something looked just like the pig at the petting zoo!
Tommy giggled, the fear quickly leaving him. The Something isn’t scary! It’s just a big piggy!

Tommyinnit's parents re dead. He now has to live with his abusive, manipulative big brother Dream, who's real name is clay. His teacher Philza Minecraft noticed he has not been eating his own lunch and decides to question him about it. Phil's kids, Wilbur and Technoblade get involved and all three of them basically adopt this poor 14 year old boy.

Techno wants to pretend that he's not afraid of Ranboo facing off with the world, but he's terrified. He knows cruelty because he has been cruelty. He once was the monster lurking in the dusk that parents use as a scapegoat to keep kids indoors. Now he is the parent. What a twist of events.

Taking Ranboo into town on a little errand is terrifying, but the toddler seems excited despite his usual ever-present anxiety. Technoblade wanted to raise a brave kid, which means he'll need to be a brave parent.

But now, he sits on the comfortable sofa, blanket wrapped around his shoulders, Enderchest purring in his lap. The sound of fireplace is comforting, and it fills him with a feeling of safety. Nobody knew why, or how, but magic seemed to grow stronger that day, so magical creatures decided to declare it a festive day. Lighting candles to symbolize the returning of the sun, the hope for a new beginning after the end of the year; decorating living trees outside their homes, with pretty hanging candles and ornaments meant to represent the sun, the moon and the stars. People also liked to make wreaths from winter evergreens like pine, juniper and cedar; they were meant to hang outside people’s doors, since they associated them with protection and prosperity.
Tommy was really excited about all of it.
After all, it was his first Winter Solstice.

“What?” Techno is instantly torn out of his thoughts. He barely heard the boy's tiny voice in the midst of his deafening thoughts.
The kid shifts uncomfortably, averting his gaze completely from Techno. “ ‘m Tommy.”
Techno swallows the nerves, and nods. “Hullo, Tommy.” He’s stiff, uncertain. His relief from earlier gets ripped out of him, his lungs shrinking, all the air getting shoved out of them like a punch in the gut. He didn’t want to know the kids name, he thought it would be easier like that. Here he is, however, with the boy's name leaving his mouth, and his vulgar thoughts running a mile a minute.

Summary
There were many things that Techno expected to see in his sitting room. Perhaps an exhausted Phil crashed on his couch after a painfully long flight. Maybe an assassin come to try their hand at taking his head again. Maybe one of his old handlers, from the life that he was so desperately trying to forget.
None of those were what he was presented with.
Instead it was a small, shivering bundle curled up under the cloak he hadn’t noticed was missing from its spot, a fire that he hadn’t started burning in the fireplace. It was small enough to perhaps be a wolf, one of the viciously smart things that had followed him home before. If it weren’t for the latent magic rolling off of the thing, he might’ve believed it. But no – whatever had found its way into his home was magical, and powerful as hell, too.

“It’s alright, little guy, everything’s going to be okay.” Techno softly said as he gently began rubbing Tommy’s stomach. Tommy began to quiet down, the whimpers not being heard that often now, and then he reached for Techno’s fingers, and wrapped his small hands around Techno’s much larger fingers.
Techno stared at the kid lovingly as his heart melted a bit, and kept smiling at him while still rubbing the kid’s stomach.
“Alright then, kid. Looks like you’re going to be coming home with me.”
