All major civilizations have their own origin stories, a way to explain the formation of the Earth, Sun, Moon, and man's purpose. Every group of people yearns to know where they have come from and why they exist. They seek an explanation for natural phenomena they struggle to comprehend.
Bringing together two characters who have actively hated each other their entire lives to gratuitous copulation is an incomprehensible phenomenon. It requires a grand origin story to explain away Severus Snape and Sirius Black falling into bed with one another. In my opinion, the best part of this unholy pairing is weaving the tangled web that ensnares and drags these two together. Here is my own humble attempt.
