The boy got comfortable, pulling a bunch of hay out from a bale and making himself a little pile to sleep on, before he plopped down on it like it was his own little nest and sighed. This was it. He was on his way to something great. Whether it was amazing or terrifying or just plain dangerous, he didn’t know yet. But it was something exciting. Tommy was on his way to adventure.

So in a world not too different from our own, our favorite swordsman of the Strawhat crew dies in a fight against a rival gang in New York City.
He then wakes up in a younger body with some very distinct changes, a buttload of new powers he can slowly unlock, and what sounds like his favorite Spanish actor telling him what to do and what's going on in his mind.
Well, he insists he's called Mihawk and sounds like he's a bit of a condescending dickhead, but he's helpful.
Now, what's with all his old crushes and drinking buddies showing up as fellow Zodiacs, and why is it he is literally stuck in the same "trash" books he used to be addicted to?
NOTE: TECHNICALLY no prior knowledge of ANY of the fandoms is needed bc the OP characters are all from an au of their own AND essentially just character pulls, but I would recommend at least watching a video or 2 on what cultivation fantasy is just to make sure you can keep up with some stuff. I'm following the plots of the Danmei tagged, with canon divergences to "fix" stuff.

They slept behind a laundromat. Tattered old, ripped blankets provided little warmth, Roxie was better at keeping them warm than anything they could find in the wild, but Karl was comfortable. At least, as comfortable as he could be.
