Summary
It is a few weeks from graduation, and Eddie Munson has gotten a job in a diner. Though he normally works in the kitchen, he is surprised when a table of familiar faces insist that Eddie serve their table one night - and they are offering a large tip for his services. Unfortunately, the customers are people that he'd rather not have to deal with - Tommy H., Carol Perkins, Chance, Andy, and a few other jocks from the basketball team. Eddie tries his best to stay calm, as he serves them, but it gets increasingly more difficult, as they use the opportunity to mock Eddie. The staff at Oliver's diner don't take this too well, and they decide to get even.

“Let’s get this over with.” Steve mutters, setting his shoulders and planting his feet.
Out of the corner of his eye, Gareth can see that Wayne is watching their standoff with a calculating expression.
“We’re airing this out and moving on. And we are going to do it before Eddie gets home.” Harrington states with a finality that sets Gareth’s teeth grinding. As if Steve is the one who’s more concerned about their friend’s feelings than Gareth is at this point.Or
Gareth has had just about enough of Steve Harrington in the fall of '86. He sets about to do something about it. It takes an angry mob, a Corroded Coffin gig and a baseball bat full of nails for him to change his mind.
Gareth gets mad, Eddie gets beat up, Steve gets violent and Wayne is just really tired of everyone's shit.

If it wasn’t for his stupid busted ankle, Dustin would have happily biked there. Instead he waited impatiently for Steve to come pick him up. He resisted the urge to pace, crutches or not, because he was meant to be resting or whatever. As if he could rest now!

The dominoes fall differently and Eddie and Max live, while Vecna dies. Hawkins is still in chaos. With cover-stories, impossible injuries and disaster all around, it's up to The Party to look after each other.

When Robin shows up at Steve's door covered in blood and bruises, he panics. His dad never let them keep a first aid kit in the house so he has no way to help his best friend. This leads him to call in a favour from Chief of Police Jim Hopper, who knows that Steve dosen't live in a great environment.
Steve nurses Robin back to health while trying to figure out who beat up this best friend and deals with his own trauma from his problematic father.
