I read this for the first time years ago and I still hold it close to my heart. Beautiful work and amazing interpretation of Cherche and Olivia. I think the second person writing makes it feel like a love letter to the self.
I love the pacing and all the little metaphors. A scene that stuck with me through the years was the one with the photo album. When I read it years ago I found it very funny that Olivia grieved because she thought that the boy in the pictures was dead. Because that's a situation I would misread. And yet today I read it and realized that he really was.
Very sweet, I hope that the next time I revisit this, I'll understand a bit more.
