Summary
Takes place after q!Cellbit's return from purgatory in which he finds the island to be in a worse state than he remembers.
The virus worked slowly, infiltrating the vulnerable and holding back the strong. It was methodical and purposeful, not like any ordinary infection. It was hard to place how it had started or where the first fight broke out, but everyone had seemingly scattered across the island. Cellbit returned to his husband in a concerning state, with no knowledge of what had happened in the time that had passed. All the familiar locations stood empty, slowly being reclaimed by the flora. The only sign of people being around were scattered warning signs, subtle clues to help Cellbit figure out what had gone wrong.

Everyone’s so nice an-” There was a loud shriek and the sound of footsteps.
“Tilin!!!” Came the already far off voice of his daughter, “Gimme back my phone you jerk!!!”
Charlie chuckled at the out of breath laughs of the new kid on the other end, presumably Tilin.

After many encounters with the Code Monster, Etoiles now holds both the shield and the sword of the feared monster. However, he feels a strange connection to the two items, almost as if they were made with him in mind leaving him feeling unsure about what this could possibly mean.

That’s my job, worrying about you .” He tucks her in some more as she looks up at him with large, knowing eyes. “I’m going to do my best to take care of you. Annoying Mariana comes second. I swear it.” Flippa swats at him lightly which he laughs at.
“But seriously. I will. I’ll… always be here for you.” She smiles at him as he stands and moves to blow out the torch next to her bed. “Goodnight, Juanaflippa.” Charlie says softly as he closes the door behind him and takes in a deep breath.
