Summary
Time was a fickle thing to creatures who lived so long. Gillion was nearly 23, his birthday coming up in a few days, but he still wasn’t old enough to become the king of his destined kingdom. Though, he was sure it had more to do with the fact that the Elders didn’t think he was ready to take it on, but they would never admit that.
He had to agree with them, no matter how much he wanted to disagree with them. Gill was still impatient, impulsive, childish, dishonorable, and many other words the Elders had hurled at him during his meetings with them. Going from admiring the Elders, seeing them as the wisest creatures on the planet, to growing to resent them wasn’t something Gillion was ever prepared to handle. The Elders sure didn’t prepare him for that.
Most of his time was spent training for something unspecific that the Elders always referred to. He would be tasked with sparring or weight training or even swim practice sometimes. As if he’d ever need to swim. The sea had become uninhabitable centuries ago, forcing all sea dwellers onto the surface, but the Elders insisted.

“If … if you don’t mind me asking, how did you get that scar?” Chip asked with genuine curiosity; Gill tried to hide it but his eyes unintentionally widened at the question, and his tail fins flexed nervously. “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want too, but nothing you say will make me think any part of you is repulsive Gillion,” he continued gently. He wouldn’t push Gillion at all, but he wondered what type of infliction could possibly cause a scar to appear like that.

Summary
Gillion was once a renowned motorcyclist, but after a bad crash, he damaged his leg and had to drop out for his safety. He moves to Canella with his busted-up race bike to get away from the fame, living off his previously earned money until he can't. That's when he decides to look for a job and finds a friendly flower shop to stay at. What he doesn't know is that he's only helping out their faux front.
Chip owns a bike shop and makes modifications for the right price. He's been working on a team to compete instead of just helping, but needs another racer for them to have a fighting chance. Despite the majority of the area having high regulations against races on the streets Zero is a hotspot for them. When Lizzie tells him about an opportunity that walked right into their hands he can't help but jump at the chance.
TLDR: Gillion used to be a racer but had to quit because of an injury. He moves to Zero and finally gets a job. Chip owns a workshop and needs one more person to make a racing team, Lizzie knows just the guy.

They had known Gillion had a sister, as he mentioned her occasionally in passing conversation but never many details. He didn’t talk much about his life in the undersea, or his family. But Eden, he had mentioned with a sad fondness.
Chip had no idea what to expect of Eden from the stories Gillion told, but this certainly wasn’t it. The resemblance the two of them had to each other was almost uncanny and there was no doubt in his mind that they were related.

Her natural hair was undone, kept out of her face by only a bandana. He couldn’t quite see her expression, but from leaning over she could see that her jaw was clenched.
