“No, you’re not,” Phosphorous repeated. “I don’t think I can die either. Other than, you know, magical means or getting blown up bad enough. The same kind of stuff that could kill you.”
The Bride couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “What?”
“I don’t think I’m aging under all this,” Phosphorous said, gesturing loosely at his face, “and you know I can heal any injury I get just by throwing more radiation at it. I don’t think I’m dying any time soon.”
Huh. The Bride was so used to… She hadn’t thought about it quite like that. “Oh.”
“Yup.” Phosphorous shifted a bit. “So it seems like I was right. The emotional stuff is the real barrier here.”
