After Odysseus got married and returned home he realized he had forgotten something, his little sister, Cimene's 17th birthday had happened meaning that she was now two years passed the age to be wed, meaning he had to prepare the palace for not only the suitors (barf 🤮) but also when they gave up and/or failed to woo her. Because if he knew his sister (like he knows his own mind) this was going to cause disaster. Little did the king know that his sister did want to marry but finding someone who would love her despite her... flaws was going to be difficult. Meanwhile, a young man named, Eurylochus was boarding a ship that would head to Ithaca his father hoped that the king would help the small island of Same for the island had been suffering from famine, and hoped that the king would at least pity to help them. What is the young man to do when he sees a woman who in his opinion had to have been blessed by Aphrodite herself to explain her beauty only to later find out that she's the princess? What is he to do? However little that he knows that Ctimene fell for him all because he spoke his truth.

Ctimene called after him, ruinously gentle, but Odysseus hardly heard her. He pushed past servants and some of the men, just barely keeping enough control of his body not to stumble as he made his way back inside, down the hall that led out to the courtyard, up the stairs, panting with air too thin to sustain him. The door of the bedroom slammed shut behind him, and Odysseus rushed to the balcony, shoving curtains out of his way to bring himself right to the edge, breathing in the night air on this side of the palace where it did not smell of smoke and blood and people who’d either stopped loving him or would very soon.
He caught a familiar name on his tongue before it could get out. She, too, wasn’t there anymore.

What If Odysseus wasn't the one to go to war? What if Ctimene took his place basically pulling a Mulan/Deborah Sampson so Odysseus could keep their kingdom safe and be involved in Telemachus' life? Yet, Ithaca would still join in the war plus as Ares champion, she wasn't afraid of a little bloodshed.
How will her choices affect the original story? Would more soldiers die? Or be saved? And how is Eurylochuis going to deal with his wife not only looking good in armor and short hair but is also a caring aunt/mom!?

Odds were never in Odysseus' favor, from being born in district 10, to having his name in a reaping bowl more times than he had birthdays. Yet he managed to survive till he was eighteen, just one more reaping and he is safe. But when was luck ever on his side.
District 10 might not have the best scores of victories, but they never could expect to pick a fox amongst the sheep.There's only one winner, one who gets to get home. And district 10, has no winners. Time to shuffle the odds?
