Tav wakes up on an alien planet with holes in her memory, a parasite in her skull, and a voice that isn't hers.
She's surrounded by strangers she doesn't trust. Everyone's a weapon. Some are just better at hiding it.
The pale elf watches her too closely. Like he's waiting for something. Or recognizing something he wishes he didn't.
The parasite whispers. The voice knows things Tav doesn't.
And slowly, the question changes:

“Elvish? That's all plain common.” he replies, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
“All of it?” she repeats, incredulous.
Thiriann suppresses a sigh. She'll be in for a long night.
"Alright. And for which date do you want them delivered?”
"Oh,delivery won't be necessary. I'll have them tonight."
Thiriann's eyes widen. "Tonight?" she echoes, disbelief coloring her voice. The sheer volume of the order, coupled with the strange, almost archaic language, is overwhelming. And on top of that, the list is handwritten.
She tries to read a few of the items but can't make heads or tails of it, his handwriting, while graceful as all elven handwriting seems to be, is also nearly impossible to decipher. There's no doubt this man has a history in medicine.

Stagnant and thick from the bodies of the decayed rats that Cazador oh so generously provided him with. Watching with delight as Astarion struggled to pull the liquid free with his fangs. Feral fueled rage in his eyes for whatever he could get as he looked up at his master. Too weak to refuse. The copper mingled with the taste of trying to survive another day.
And the familiar spice of alcohol. The tartness that would make his lips curl. Dry as it went down his throat.
It’s not that Astarion disliked it. It was a welcome change compared to the alternative. Yet it also served as a reminder of what he was made to do. What usually came after… once his target was inebriated enough to be completely pliant under his honeyed words.
It was difficult not to associate the two.

As usual, I suck at descriptions lol I got this idea when I was making my dhampir character (ty mods!) and realized just how obvious it is that Astarion's a vampire. Which, duh. So, I thought, wouldn't it be funny if Tav was a dhampir but no one in the group could figure that one out, either - including Astarion himself (and vice verse). The rest just grew from there. There is slight Gale romance, too, but it's not a focus. Still, I listed it in tags.
This will focus more on the relationships and personal stories/quests, I think, than the main storyline but we'll see. Any main stuff I'll try to make my own.
Updates happen as they happen - no set schedule. :) I write/post as I'm inspired, but do always intend to finish my works someday.
