Laszlo Cravensworth, an up and coming film director, hires recent film school graduate Guillermo de la Cruz to shoot his next project, a documentary about a series of small town murders and the local vampire legend surrounding them. Joining them are Laszlo’s long time collaborators: his wife, Nadja Antipaxos, a stellar editor with a penchant for perfection, and his best friend, Nandor Jahan, a keen-eyed cinematographer with his own reasons for taking a back seat on this project. Rounding out their team is studio man Colin Robinson, in charge of keeping their budget balanced and ascertaining risk.
As the investigation kicks into high gear, the crew finds themselves entangled in a dark mystery spanning the whole course of the town’s history, uncovering secrets about foul truths that lurk within the heart of Coventry, truths that may have been better left buried. And it’s not just the town that has skeletons; the crew members have their own secrets that could threaten their careers, their relationships, maybe even their very lives.

With the birth of their son a little under a month away, newlyweds Guillermo and Nandor de la Cruz are working hard to make sure they're prepared. It's a frenzy of cleaning, painting, assembling, organizing, practicing, and reading.
But when Nandor suggests he was thinking of skipping over the chapter about circumcision in the book that he was reading about having a baby boy because they "won't need it," Guillermo asks Nandor to explain what he means by that. An argument ensues about their plans as it pertains to circumcising their son. They soon get to the heart of the matter, make some important decisions, and then make up.

Is he serious?! Guillermo could not believe Nandor had the nerve to ask him for courting advice in front of everyone, only hours after insulting him to the Djinn. Was this Nandor’s idea of a joke? Some sick game he was playing?
Well, Guillermo was more than happy to play along.
He looked Nandor right in the eyes, keeping his tone light and airy. “Dancing,” he said. “Even if your partner is the last donut in the display cabinet.”
Nandor’s eyes widened and his mouth fell open, his fangs poking out comically. For a few moments, Guillermo let himself enjoy Nandor’s stunned expression. Then he turned on his heel and walked away, not bothering to hide the smug smile on his face.
