Summary
From the time Hiccup was four, Stoick knew that this day would come. At the time, Hiccup was angry and his eyes turned to slits and his ears became pointed like an elf's. Other people on Berk with magic power could move things with their minds or shoot compressed air from their mouths. Stoick's own nephew could bend the earth to his will, and Stoick himself could shout and cause a mountain to collapse. People with magic powers on Berk were thought of as the greatest warrior in their war against the dragons.
But his son just had to be able to turn into dragons, and when you're power gave you the ability to turn into your tribe's mortal enemies, you may not be seen as someone of good standing. Little Hiccup had to learn this the hard way.

Rewrite of the movie with a female Hiccup. Hiccup and Dagur have been betrothed since birth to unite the two tribes in a lasting peace. Dagur and Hiccup have a bond closer than what anyone expected out of the arrangement, this bond doesn't make Stoick and Oswald too happy but at least their children wouldn't kill one another like many arrangements worked out. The other tribes also visit for the wedding that will forever unite the two tribes for centuries to come.
Hiccup doesn't compete in dragon training as she is not old enough and her and Dagur are set to marry as soon as she turns 14.
Warnings apply throughout- Bullying, kidnapping, a bit of PTSD, child neglection.
