Except now, at seventy four, his past catches up with him. Meaning he and his family has another new member for the time being. For one month there’s nothing anyone can do.
Let’s just hope the citadel doesn’t get word of this…
(Or, c-137 timetravels and meets his elderly self, and becomes best friends with his own grandson. Unfortunately things aren’t as fun as they seem as time goes on.)

Morty wipes his eyes and takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He looks at Rick, who is still snoring softly, oblivious to the emotional storm raging inside his grandson. Morty knows that Rick would never understand, could never reciprocate in the way Morty longed for. Their relationship was complex enough without adding this impossible layer to it.
And yet Rick has completely and utterly ruined him for anyone else without even knowing it; nobody could show him the wonders of the universe like Rick could. From the smaller things, like the way the ice cream from the Gloppy Drop system was so much better than Earth ice cream, to the bigger things, like the way nothing gave Morty the same thrill as shooting his way through an intergalactic prison with his grandpa. He would never be satisfied with life only on Earth ever again, and he’s pretty sure he could never feel for anyone else the way he felt for Rick.

“A-aw jeez, Grandpa,” Morty squirms, his cheeks reddening. At some point, this had become a… thing between them, when Rick had too much to drink. Rick would get handsy, expressing desire for his grandson, but it usually never went further than some groping and chaste kisses before he disappeared into his room or the garage and passed out. And the next morning he would act normal, as if either he’d forgotten or been too ashamed to acknowledge what had happened.
Morty, for his part, never really knew what to make of it. It was disturbing and confusing, yes, but also kind of flattering, in a twisted way. After all, it wasn't every day that your grandfather, a brilliant scientist and all-around asshole, told you that you were cute and tried to fondle you. And there was the fact that Morty’s body seemed to react to it much more than it should, but he tried not to think about that.
