Summary
He knows he shouldn’t. He knows there is a chance she’ll figure it out, that she’ll decode his secret messages. A small part of himself that he despises hopes she does.
Another part of him is terrified to imagine the consequences if she does.
The largest part of him, however, is willing to risk it. He doesn’t think she’ll read anything more into it other than his affection and his reminders that he’s always there with her, and always will be. She’s smart, his Queen, but intelligence is nothing without knowledge in this case, and he’s fairly sure she will not learn this in her studies.
He also can’t help himself.-

Summary
"Succession" is a script for an historical costume drama about central Europe in the mid-18th-century. It takes a certain degree of inspiration from 'The Tudors' and 'The Borgias', and while it aims to be a bit more historically accurate than either of them, it's also not completely wedded to historical precision. A major objective is to have a more inclusive and diverse cast than is common for such dramas; this was an era with many powerful women, and this show aims to give them proper prominence. Similarly, non-white and non-straight characters should have good representation. Every scene should have a speaking role for a named person who really existed and who is not a straight white man; every episode should pass the Bechdel Test. There's also a little 'Game of Thrones' about the whole thing - anyone can die.

Summary
Life was once beautiful there. When the curtains fell, so did their world. Now that only heavy silence and distant memories remain, the music waits to come alive once more...
Sylvie has always felt connected to the past, but never her own. When she's invited to investigate the remains of the long abandoned, dilapidated Kit Kat Club, she agrees without a second thought, even bringing along some friends. It was a chance to go above and beyond in the workforce, get her name out there, really start a life for herself as a successful historian.
But since returning home, her dreams have never been normal. The line between what's real and imaginary blurs. The blank space in her memories becomes clearer, and painted faces she shouldn't know visit her again and again. And the same, mysterious figure beckons her back each night, eager to say "Wilkkommen, beinvenue, welcome" one last time.
The story of Cabaret was far from over after the lights dimmed. What happened behind the facade of a perfect world reflects why some refuse to be left behind so easily. Their memories are sharp despite the time gone by, and they're eager for their encore performance.
(TW: suicide, drug overdose, violent imagery)

But, she has to admit, at least to herself, there are passages in a duet where the second voice has the melody, and her playing sounds a little too prominent. She has difficulty blending her part into the background, to be the supporting harmony. Especially with Albert.

Summary
A collection of unrelated Victoria/Melbourne fics.
Note: all the stories in this series are set in the ITV Victoria universe and while they make use of historical characters and events etc. they are written based on the characters in the tv show - so Victoria and Lord M look like Jenna Coleman and Rufus Sewell and Lord M is clearly not forty years older than Victoria (I have decided to make Melbourne 27 years older than Victoria in these stories to roughly match up with Rufus Sewell's age in real life).

Schmidt’s managed to force his way into a career only available to alphas, and suffice to say, they aren’t happy about his presence. He’d thought he’d secured his position despite being viewed as lesser, but the alphas find the one thing he can’t defend himself from on his own.
