Dhamon Matthews is your ordinary neighborhood acolyte-in-training of an ancient order that was nearly removed from the face of the planet by a very salty lich. He gets sent by his master on a quest to the charr-infested lands of Ascalon, where he is roped up by the Spire warband in their very mundane job of staring at a wall twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. One of the charr, a very angry, very short cat with small-dog syndrome named Maeve Sunspire, very much hates the fact that this human isn't a total piece of garbage. They fuck in chapter 6.
