I wanted to write my idea for what Zootopia 2 could or should look like, before any of the trailers dropped to take away the air of mystery. This is not a prediction (and is often entirely unrealistic for something Disney would do) but sort of my preference for how the story should go.
The first Zootopia was genuinely game-changing for its time, in how it tackled depictions of ongoing prejudice in our seemingly enlightened and diverse world. Its status as a cultural phenomenon is well deserved. However, many aspects of Zootopia, were not perfect, or did not age particularly well.
I'm genuinely curious about a few things: How will Zootopia 2 respond to increased anti-police sentiment within its core audience? Can Zootopia 2 manage to be nearly as bold as its predecessor in tackling and depicting prejudice? And perhaps most importantly, what will the future of Nick and Judy's relationship be like, and how might it tie in to the other big questions facing the sequel?
This is my attempt to answer those questions before the trailer drops and they start to be answered for us.
I'll upload a new chapter 5 days a week. I'm not sure just how long it will be. Maybe around 20-30 relatively bite sized chapters.

Though the case is over with, with its mastermind behind bars and no more traces of the drug being sold or manufactured. So why, why, why, why was the ZPD investigating an already solved case that seemed to have come back as an unreachable ghost to haunt them? The ZPD officers were at their wit ends already being spread thin and the ZPD's prize duo coming in empty-handed. The city was once again on edge not knowing who to go missing next or who would turn savage and attack. Though bellwethers in prison right? There's no trace of the night howler serum being manufactured? There's been no mammal reported going savage? So what is going on and why can't the ZPD solve this case, will it push the city over the edge, will it break our duo, or is everything just one big coincidence with everything falling in place like a puzzle?
