Look, being a vampire is hard. You think we're sparkly semi-all powerful beings but we're really not. Hell, I don't even fly! To be fair, I'm not exactly the most competent of vampires. But still, I wasn't made for this life. It's lonely. And mean. And cut throat, literally. I want to have a life, to be social, to have friends, but like this, I'm kind of screwed.
All thinks considered, Lance wasn't the best vampire. He hated feeding, he hated hurting people, and he disliked ninety nine percent of his own kind. Unfortunately, he was stuck, and there wasn't much he could do about it. After all, once a vampire, always a vampire.
Then Keith came along. And in a single night, everything changed.

Lance's plan was just to sneak out, take his buddies with him and just gathered some bonding moment, in the same time let Pidge get the chance to try to find his family again.
He didn't expect to rescued his favourite all time teacher from the Garrison itself, stranded in a random house in the desert that probably haunted and somehow get dragged by weird energy force to meet a mechanical cat beast. Not to gotten to meet two aliens who tried to snatch the beast robot only for them to claimed he was a paladin of some sort.
Anyway, this will be a long summer.

Hunk runs further into the shoreline with no hesitation. The water reaches his abdomen now. He stretches his arms outward, ready to catch whatever thing that may come from the waves.
And, indeed does it come. Only, it isn’t an it, but a person.
The waves transfer the person’s weight from itself to Hunk’s open arms. He stumbles back a little, his back leg holding himself and the person in his arms both steady. The waves recede for Hunk to discover the person to be male and even more shockingly, a merman.

Though the things they were thinking of probably had a few less fangs.

** Keith remembers the time, when Shiro tried to explain to him, what it feels like to have a mate. He told him, that shifters are possessive and have the need to protect their mate. Back then he believed that he wouldn’t meet someone, who could have such power over him.
But here sits Lance, a mere human. And Keith only has one thought in mind: He will be mine.

Lance’s cheeks tint into pink as he turns back around and finally meets the eyes of the handsome stranger in the armchair. When their gazes lock, Lance feels a shiver run down his spine, which has nothing to do with the cold air coming from the window. His knees tremble, weight of his body suddenly too heavy to bear, as he starts to go down. Before his ass kisses the ground, strong hands close around his arms to hold him steady.
“You okay?”, the man asks, voice a low timbre, rough around the edge from sleep.
And yes, Lance recongnises the fiery orbs–a mix of violet and red; the black, unruly mop of hair. Lance knows he’s doomed. **––
Lance moves back to his hometown to open a chocolate shop. On the night of the full moon he meets Keith in the form of a black panther.

Summary
Sirens, mythical creatures that lured sailors to their deaths at the bottom of the ocean, were never something that Lance thought could exist. In reality, sirens are just souls lost to the woes of the world, forced to spend eternity in the oceans, searching for a second chance at life. Lance never meant to get caught up in that world, but the more he tries to escape, the thicker the web becomes. But the gods have turned their backs on the land which is in ruin from civil war among the races: the Dragons, the Mer, the Elementals and the Humans. They have abandoned the land and it is up to Allura to save Voltron. But she will need help. She sends a message to the royal families of each race: In order to save your people, I will need a representative from each of you to lead your people in battle and participate in a ritual to give me the power to destroy Zarkon once and for all.
