    After spending nearly a millennium here, Loki knew this place as well as anyone could. He was the one who had survived here the longest, after all. The Void had its own smell, its own atmosphere, and its own air pressure. The sky was always grey and heavy here; the air smelled like old dust. No wind moved through this place, save for the force that could pull you into Alioth's mouth. Loki had felt it once when he got too close. There was no wind, yet he could feel the cold air on the nape of his neck. The smell that filled the air was pleasant and oddly nostalgic — it was the fresh scent of the coming storm.
