And that isn’t a problem! Really. It’s completely Lance’s prerogative, Keith wants him to be comfortable. If he’s comfortable in his shirt, then he’s comfortable in his shirt.
But it’s more than that, Keith thinks. Because it’s not just the sex. It’s not just that Lance prefers keeping the shirt on most of the time. It honestly feels like Lance is afraid to take it off, as absurd as it sounds. Keith wants to know why. Can he help? Is it something he can fix? Is it something he even needs to fix?

Summary
Keith has it made. He comes home from work every day to Lance’s beaming smile and gentle teasing about the grease on his clothes. He’s got everything he’s ever wanted. He’s happy. So fucking happy.
Except that things have been a little different, recently. For the past few weeks, he’s been coming home to his usual smile and kiss, but the idle chattering or excited rambles — Keith feels as if they’ve become a rarity. Their home used to be filled with the sound of Lance’s voice, silent only when he’s reading or focused intently on something, eyes narrowed and tongue peeking out of his mouth.
Lance still looks happy. He still curls up with Keith on the couch after dinner, socked feet in Keith’s lap and three million blankets over his shoulders. He still sends Keith a myriad of heart emojis on his lunch break. Their sex life has not suffered.
But the lectures. The constant infodumps of whatever passing thing has grabbed Lance’s attention. They’re gone. And Keith’s devastated about it.
He misses Lance’s voice.

Fic based just after the end of season 5 in which Lance is forced to confront his mistakes and it leads him down a very dark path. "I'm hallucinating now," Damian muttered to himself, as the boy stared at him, uncertainly, "Mhm, pretty sure I'm not a hallucination."
"That's what a hallucination would say, Richard," he said, knowing he sounded petulant. Whatever the Galra had given him to keep him quiet, it was stronger than many of the drugs he had become accustomed to during his training with the League of Assassins.
It was only for this reason that he risked falling forward. Fortunately for him, he was promptly grabbed by the boy. It was a strong, solid grip, and definitely not a hallucination.
Damian looked up, meeting eyes that reminded him of a dead man, and the other said, "You confused me with another person. My name is not Richard. It's Lance."
(During his imprisonment on an alien ship, after sacrificing himself to save Earth, Damian meets a boy who reminds him terribly of his dead brother. He can't be who he believes, but the resemblance is striking, and Damian just wants to believe that something left by Dick Grayson still exists.)

Lotor mistakenly believes that Lance, acting as a spy for the Galra, has killed Keith, and invites him to return to the Empire with him. Team Voltron uses this to their advantage.
“You finally get to return to your real people, Blue Paladin. You no longer have to run around with those…scumbags? Is that a term they use on Earth to describe the lowest filth they can think of?”
Recognition seemed to dawn on the Blue Paladin’s face.

As if he’s miles underwater, he hears the rest of the team chatter excitedly about the games they played. The drama, the excitement.
He hears them talk about the test.
He hears Coran say Bob is a god.
Mostly, though, he hears his blood rushing through his ears, and Keith’s words repeating over and over in his head. Again and again.
I just don’t want to be stuck here for eternity with Lance.

Shiro sighed. “You’re not going to be able to hit your way out of this.”
Finally, Keith let the bag sway away from him and stood panting, fists still clenched. His chest rose and fell in sharp, uneven bursts. His mouth was slightly open, drawing in gasps of air like he was drowning and this was the only way to survive. His eyes, usually intense but calm, looked feral now—wild, red-rimmed, and glassy. Dangerous.
“I’m not trying to hit my way out of it,” Keith growled, low and guttural. “I’m trying to stop thinking about him.”
Shiro didn’t reply at first. He didn’t need to.

He’d tried to handle it himself. Stole Pidge’s headphones, hummed out loud to himself; hell, he even left the bathroom sink running for some white noise. None of it worked. None of it was the same as the constant sound of someone breathing right next to you, the grumbles of their snores and strange mutterings of their sleep-talk. The very thing Lance hated with a passion turned out to be the one thing that actually helped his insomniac ass actually sleep. Mother nature, you trick-ass bitch. You have a personal problem.
Now, of course there was an easy solution to this. He shared the castle with six other people — one of them his Garrison roommate! Surely, he could bunk with someone else.
But… no one else seemed to have trouble sleeping. At least, not for the same reason as Lance. And as much as Lance liked to play the obnoxious role, as much as nothing was funnier than pushing just the right buttons to make someone else explode… he couldn’t be that much of a nuisance. It was too much.
So Lance got real used to being sleep deprived.
