Summary
A hand closes around his wrist. Percy has a split second to react, which proves to be inadequate. Annabeth hauls him away from the railing of the dock.
She pushes him in.
Percy acts on instinct, which was once again a poor decision. As he starts swimming back up, he sees Annabeth staring with wide eyes.
It hits him at once. The weight of what just happened settles on his shoulders.
Tldr: Despite his father's (many) warnings, Percy decides to visit the surface world. He ends up saving a human— then befriending her.
It goes about as well as he'd expect. (But maybe he can finally find his mom).

Summary

So, Mike pretends that he doesn’t know the cheesy tourist family taking thousands of pictures and he wanders off. Hopefully, to find a place where he can read his comic books in peace.

You see…here’s the thing.
Ever since that damn film had come out, Nico had been tormented by literally everyone he knew. Suddenly, everyone seemed to care about Nico and his past, all of the sudden remembering that “Oh, wait! You’re from Venice aren’t you! You’re Italian! Just like Luca! And Alberto! HOLY SHIT, Nico, are you a sea monster too?!?!?” because clearly, being from Italy and happening to live near water made you a sea monster according to the religious text of a stupid children’s cartoon.
The fact that they were all true was completely irrelevant.
Or.....
Nico is a sea monster in hiding. Percy happens to find out. Confessions are made and sex is had.
