So how come she was dragged into an ancient, galactic war by five female transforming mechanical aliens saying she held the key to save them all?

A What If scenario that rewrites the beginning scenes of the first Transformers movie (2007) with two key changes. 1) Mikaela takes pity on Sam and buys his great-great-grandfather's glasses off him and 2) Elita-One and her team, the Shield of Solus, come to Earth to retrieve the AllSpark instead of Optimus Prime and his team.
This story is completely separate from the other story in this collection.

As Anode or Lug, you are taking steps in a galaxy following a reconciliatory Autobot victory in Autobot-Decepticon-Unicron wars, to help rebuild and make something new, both for society and yourselves, reconnecting with family and friends you were away from due to the war, transforming the world and each other together, and rekindling love in such reforging of and for peaceful autonomy, addressing old wounds.... We wrote 2 excerpts set at different points in dating sim style for this story, one from Anode's perspective meeting with Windblade and Proxima on Cybertron early in the story to start restoration, and one from Lug's on the Lost Light supporting Rodimus's surgery including by helping her partner Drift with advice on how to support Roddy, This story is very much about finding the Forge of Solus Prime in oneself and the people around you. The Ao3 release has been edited for typos I missed.
Also, our dear friend Spashahoney did an incredible art piece attached to this story (both are in the zine Transform & Go Out With Me!)! It shows other characters on dating routes, which include Chromia, Yellow Splendid Convoy, Lodestar or Lightbright, Muzzel, Spacewarp, Marissa Faireborn, and the Mistress of Flame!

Part of the resistance had to flee Cybertron to get help, and-
Against the massive series of invasions and colonizations being carried out by the Functionist Council against the galaxy, the fledgling intergalactic Council of Hope has formed in the last ten years, counting among it's many members most of the lost Cybertronian colony worlds: Earth, Caminus, Eukaris, Velocitron, Carcer, the Great Lushness Revival, LV-117, Prion and Arduria. Currently, Caminus has recently survived a siege, and plans are in motion to prepare for reinforcements to buy time for evacuation and Earth's superweapon, along with a chance to strike down the next invasion leader headed their way: Nova Prime, the founder of Functionism now altered to serve the current Functionist regime's purposes.
With actions already in motion, Aileron puts out an invitation to fellow warriors she's close to to share love... at least for a little before continuing on to reckoning.

Perceptor is your slightly-better-than-average scientist living in the controlled, completely peaceful, not at all starting to crack Cybertron under the caste system. He has absolutely nothing to complain about: certainly not the treatment of his friends, and certainly not some of the experiments his peers are undertaking. Everything is okay, and society definitely isn't close to breaking into war. And he most certainly isn't about to endanger his own function to undermine the caste system that definitely isn't harming anyone...
What could possibly give anyone an idea like that?
