It's the year 1920.
In an alternate timeline.
If you were to find yourself in this reality, you may walk the streets of St. Louis at the start of Prohibition and not notice anything different- compared with what one finds in the history books.
You would not notice that Angels and Demons really exist, because a long-standing Masquerade keeps their activities hidden from mankind.
But then you would start reading some newspapers and find that something is amiss: that Woodrow Wilson is no longer President, that America has recently joined the League of Nations...
And then you'd read the news from Russia. Its Civil War is over, the Empire has been restored and Tzar Nicholas II sits once again on his throne- red with the blood of millions. Meanwhile, in the Far East, a former White Army General, the Mad Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg rules over a reborn Mongol Empire as the Great Khan...
And then, perhaps, you'd stamble on a newspaper from last year (1919), and read the eulogy of the 26th President Theodore Roosevelt.
And you would not learn what truly happened to him...
He was- and still is- one Hell of a President.

Summary
Electrical complications at the Vatican after the bombings during the conclave lead to nearly the entire city-state losing power during an intense cold spell a few days before Innocent XIV's first Christmas celebration. He gets to put some of his skills from his old flocks to some use in this marble and gilded cage after all, and help facilitate a Speed-run overhaul of the curia's attitudes in the process. And Thomas will, of course, be by his side aiding every step of the way, until there's nothing left to do but wait through the cold night together.

Wilson’s hair was poking up in different directions, his eyes crazed and wide.
“Okay, okay,” House raised both hands up almost in surrender, “then let’s go and get some DNA and a good ol’ Maury test.”
Where James Wilson, typically ever so careful, has an unknown 15-year-old child that he finally meets after a figure skating competition goes south. Now he has to figure out how to juggle fatherhood, weird feelings about his best friend, and be at the ready to handle not only his own trauma, but also his child's.

After the bathroom trap, Lawrence had fallen into a terrible depression, thinking about how he had left Adam to die despite his promise to keep him alive, as well the fact that he hardly got to see Diana, and, when he did, she seemed to grow more and more distant.
This is what led Lawrence to his decision to kill himself. Although, it isn't his missing his heart with the gun that surprises him the most: It is the man that visits when he does.
This fan fiction uses many of the ideas and concepts that can be found in the book, 'For one more Day' by Mitch Albern. In many ways, I was inspired by that book to write this. Although there can be no promises that I finish this, I will do my best.
