Summary
Wild was an enigma for many reasons, with the most noticeable being his hero's title. Or rather, lack thereof. That was not to say that he didn't deserve to hold the title of hero, for he was just as courageous as the other 'heroes.' No, Wild lacked a title on account of the fact that his purpose had yet to be fulfilled.
Unlike the other heroes, Wild hadn't defeated a great evil, or saved a princess, or even overcome some personal hardship. He was a kid, whisked away from his land in the middle of his knight training. After just under a year of traveling with the heroes from his story books, Wild was pulled back to his own Hyrule to finally earn his name.
Months passed by without word on his condition, with hope of Wild's return slowly shrinking in the hearts of the other heroes. And once all hope had faded away, they found themselves in a Hyrule of ruin.
And Wild’s name began to make sense.

A captain. That implies a military. That implies civilization.
Civilization that knows nothing of titans.
Civilization outside the damn Walls.
Levi can already feel the headache this shitstorm is about to cause forming.

Hyrule was scanning the floor inside the alcove. “There were definitely runes here, something outlining the arch- I might have been right about it being a door!”
“Remember that it could be a trap, too,” Legend reminded him. “Just be careful, alright?”
“I will, but this doesn’t look dangerous. It’s transmogrification, mostly, which would make sense, turning an opening into a door-”
There was a sharp click that echoed through the room as Hyrule’s hand pressed a bit of the stone and sank inwards.
The runes suddenly flared, there was a flash of light, and everything started to feel very wrong.

The rancher had been poking around the clearing since practically the moment the portal had deposited them there, running his hand over the trees as he scanned the ground for something. He evidently had found whatever it was he was looking for, if the way he visibly perked up and crouched down was anything to go by.
A few seconds of rummaging through the undergrowth later, and Twilight straightened back up – a wide smile on his face and a plant in the shape of a horseshoe, of all things, in his hand.
“I know where we are,” he said.
