Sky groaned and let his head fall into his hands. “I am living a nightmare. This is my punishment. This is karmic retribution for… I don’t know. Something. Someone, somewhere, cursed me, and they were very thorough.”
“Hm, yes,” Ghirahim said thoughtfully. “Perhaps it was that time you - what is the phrase? Ah yes. ‘Littered.’” He delivered the word with exaggerated scandal, clearly mocking him.
... Or a rewrite of an old orphaned fic of mine in which Sky takes on Ghirahim as his sword.

AU where Cia, a powerful dark witch, creates 2/3 of the Chain (Sky -> Four -> Time -> Twilight -> Wild -> Warriors) as artificial magical beings – called aspects in this world – over the course of a number of years in a desperate bid to recreate the deceased First, who she was madly and unhealthily obsessed with. The other 1/3 of the Chain (Legend -> Hyrule -> Wind) are also aspects created by First's widow, Hylia, with the purpose of finding her and her late husband's young son, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances.- Words:

Little Link, as he'd been (unfortunately) dubbed, didn't have any memories, but the man in his dreams claimed to be real. He didn't care either way, it was just nice to have someone to rely on for a change.

“Who?” Time’s voice is low.
The blonde smiles. Doesn’t respond.
Time growls, a sound Sky hasn’t heard him make before. “*Who*, you son of a bitch.”
A laugh. “Isn’t it obvious? I’m gonna kill Hylia, and a little birdie told me sky boy here’s my ticket to ‘er.”

It had been going well. At least up until the lizalfos he’d been fighting had knocked Fi out of his hands cutting his arm and knocking him down in the process. He had to watch helpless from his spot on the ground as the lizalfos raised its sword over its head. Had known that the blow would likely kill him. Had thought about Sun. How he’d never see her again. Never tell her how much he loves her. The sword began its descent and he vowed to tell her if got the chance to see her again. If he somehow survived. He closed his eyes and felt warm blood splatter on his face. It took him a moment to realize he didn’t feel any pain.
