Nick Fury opens up an old case about an energy surge and investigates. The Avengers are a bit weary about the new SHIELD recruit. Especially when Natasha Romanoff shoots him and he's still alive.
While on a somewhat mission with the new recruit, they find someone from the recruits past who somehow made his way to New York, found Harry Potter, and has the key to defeating one of Earth's greatest adversaries, even if it means getting help from an unlikely ally.

Summary
This time instead of letting the anger take control of him he could tell them what had happened, even if no one would believe Loki Liesmith, they would believe the Chittauri brand on his shoulder blade, the marks of their torture on his skin.
But Loki knew their sympathy would be short-lived, his reasons would sound like excuses for most of Asgard and a lot of the soldiers and the court would still be suspicious of him, their doubt would never be completely cleared, and his par- Odin and Mother wouldn’t understand how broken he is. And he wanted them to know. He wanted them to realise how much he had suffered and feel guilty for not noticing sooner. For Thor to feel guilty, for him to understand how much he caused Loki to suffer.
That required patience and some time spent in prison. Loki did not mind that, he was tired, and prison was comfortable enough, courtesy of his Mother.

He might have lost a hand for trying, or another eye. This little girl, Natasha Carter, becomes the Black Widow we all know and love, but one with a family, two loving mothers Peggy and her wife Angie, cousins Tony and Sharon, aunts and uncles who all love and adore her as much as she does them. She takes in an orphaned teenage girl, Wanda, who has chaos magic and becomes her mother. She falls in love with her neighbor May Parker and adores her nephew Peter. It's not always an easy life, nor is it a dull one, but it is a good life for Natasha and her family.

Natasha Romanoff is absolutely fine. Of that, she is certain. She has convinced herself that she is absolutely not addicted to self-harm, convinced her team that the Red Room and all its horrors are in the past, convinced her brain that the things she experienced weren't really that bad, and convinced everyone around her that she is absolutely, undeniably, 1000% fine.
But delusions only last so long, and hers begin to shatter as her past returns, piece by fateful piece. When you grow up in a burning house, you tend to set your world on fire for a sense of familiarity. It's only in recognizing our trauma that we can learn to live in piece. Eventually, she will have to make a decision. Does she wants to continue the pain and suffering she's learned to use as her only form of control or will she take the risk to see if there's something better on the other side?
