He moves forward, as if in a dream, caught up in this impossible fantasy that no magic in all of the Nine Realms should have been able to grant. It is hot to the touch - Thor is hot to the touch, burning up; heat is an apt name for this trial indeed, but Loki thinks there must be something extra at work here, something about Thor himself that has always been warm and open and delightfully wet. He has been with omegas before. He’s never felt like this before.
“Please,” Thor manages to gasp out the word like a prayer, “please- please-”
Loki never could deny his brother anything.

Post-“The Dark World,” Loki searches for the Soul Gem in order to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and gain omnipotence. He's got to find it before Thanos catches up with him--nothing else can protect Loki from the power of the Mad Titan.
After all, Thanos will probably be pretty angry. Loki did steal the other five gems out from under the Titan’s nose. Why let Thanos become omnipotent, when it could be Loki instead?
To find the Soul Gem and complete his many and various schemes, Loki will have to lie, cheat and manipulate everyone around him. But then, that’s half the fun …
Or it used to be. After all that Loki’s been through, the fun is wearing a bit thin. So when his schemes leave Loki staying at Thor and Jane’s little house on Midgard, and he starts to feel genuinely okay for the first time in more than a century, it might not be so easy to keep hurting those who seem to ... care for him.
But can anything short of omnipotence ever really be enough, now that Loki’s so close to getting it?
Ha. Probably not.

TDW AU, where Loki didn't 'die' (Frigga didn't either)... and dark elves were defeated with his help. Loki was pardoned and reinstated as a prince. Jane got engaged to Thor, and she stays over on Asgard more often than on Earth. Her relationship to Loki, though, is still somewhat strained. There's a lot of tension between them... and Loki is not making things any easier. But this tension doesn't unfold as she had expected... not at all.
This is not a story of love. This is a story of lust and manipulation. -

On Earth to negotiate a safe haven for the Aesir after Asgard's fall, Thor and Loki spend a night in anonymity. Thor wants to get a feel for Earth after being away, and Loki wants... well, he's not going to let Thor go off and negotiate without his help.
The only problem? Thor hasn't exactly been to the local "Asgardian jewels to Midgarder money" exchange, and he's only got enough money for one room at the local motel. The solution is obviously to share, right?
