The premise of the story is still the same, Vergil survives his death as Nelo Angelo somehow and is now on Fortuna being experimented on. He escapes with the help of a version of Nero who got his "devil arm" five-six years early and the two must survive together as Nero is still a child and Vergil is still healing. And more importantly, there's an undeniable bond between them, an unmistakable connection, that binds their destinies together.

Nero always knew growing up he was different from his peers, *very different*. If that wasn't clear from his shocking white hair, build that towered over the rest of the kids growing up, and...his demonic right arm that seemed to glow at all the wrong times. *cough during church *cough*.
It was clear to Nero that he belonged to the 80% of the world that had unique powers called "Quirks" (or did he). That was unfortunate for him as he grew up on the Island of Fortuna, the only place on Earth, he believed, "banished" people for having quirks off and away from the Island.
So when his lover and childhood friend, Kyrie, drops on him that she signed him up for a Foreign Hero School Exchange Program at UA, IN JAPAN, he's none too pleased. But faced with no choice, he had to either stay on Fortuna with his love and risk falling into the island's ruling body's grubby hands, OR discover an entirely new, possibly safer, world and maybe a new side to himself that he had never had the chance to.
