    the break-up with annabeth hadn’t been messy, per se. she was happy with piper, and percy wasn’t going to ruin that by being a dick head; so they’d labelled their break-up as amicable and left it at that.

    however, when it’s three in the morning and percy’s on his second bottle of rosé, their break-up becomes a lot less amicable. it was on one of those miserable nights that percy prayed to the goddess of love and beauty, aphrodite. it was a stupid thing to do, but in his defence, he didn’t think she’d actually answer.

    alas, she had answered — with a gift, nonetheless. aphrodite’s gift to percy was a way to drag him from his break-up-slump and thrust him into the deep-end of olympus’ biggest studs. she’d explained her gift proudly, and she’d named it ”the twelve labours of perseus”.

    ”the twelve labours of perseus”, she’d explained, were actually twelve grecian gods who she’d selected. twelve grecian gods that were determined to fill percy up in every way.

      “I don’t need my younger brother to protect me, Phobos.”

      Before anyone could register Apollo’s last statement, Phobos was swinging. His fist seemed to fly in slow motion toward Apollo’s face.

      But Apollo was fast. He caught the fist coming at him before it connected.

      As he grabbed Phobos’ hand, he used his momentum to twist Phobos’ arm until the other boy was on his knees in front of him. Apollo leaned toward the other boy and looked him in the eyes.

      “If I ever catch you even looking at any of my siblings or friends ever again, it won’t be Ares you have to worry about. Am I making myself clear?” Apollo asked, his voice eerily calm.

      (Nico would tell you Apollo’s eyes flashed molten gold in that moment, but everyone else would tell you it was just the way the sun was shining through the window of the little diner.)

      Phobos nodded and Apollo looked at Deimos who also started nodding. Apollo smirked and let go of the boy’s fist, straightening back up and smoothing out his shirt.

    I always like the whole main character demolishing world order kind of story, so I figured I'd give it a try. Think Chaos story with far less Chaos and (hopefully) reasonable characters. Pretty much Percy makes the gods really mad (a lot of them aren't his friends anyway) so he becomes a fugitive with Annabeth as they have to hide away from the legions of gods and demigods out to kill them. This story kinda goes all over the place.

    I was just a regular kid, sure I was obsessed with the Percy Jackson book series but every kid has their thing. I never thought there was any harm to reading them, they're just stories.

    Or at least they were, until I found myself in the stories I loved, but things are different than I remember...the main one being: There's no Percy Jackson?

    Izzy Mira is an alternate universe where Percy Jackson himself does not exist, and instead the main character is a reader who read the books. Basically canon rewrite with some divergence and changes. Some of which are small, others are huge, either way I hope you'll give it a read!
