Just as he prepares himself for another year as one of the top teachers at UA, he learns that some of his best friends are being sent on a mission overseas. Katsuki Bakugo returned to Japan after a 1-year internship in the United States that quickly turned into a 3-year internship, and the guilt of how he left that night still eats at him. When he returned to Japan after a serious accident with his Sensei, he vowed to take his relationships more seriously. When he shocked the hero world by declaring that he would remain unsigned to any agency, effectively "going rogue", he thought he would have more opportunities to distract himself from what was out of his reach. He never thought healing would come from protecting his childhood friend... or a class full of gremlins.

After finally escaping The Cage together with Michael, dying again, and then being brought back by Jack with the rest of humanity, Adam should have been able to finally be happy. He should have woken up with his angel inside his head, but reality was not that kind.
He just can't accept that Michael is gone. With little choice but to live with Sam and Dean now that everything and everyone he loved has been ripped out of his hands, Adam devises a plan to get Michael out of the Empty so they can be together again.
Of course, nothing is ever that easy with the Winchesters around, and things don't quite go according to plan.

Viktor cannot fault Jayce for finally listening to his heart. Jayce had clawed his way to Viktor, so Viktor held him tight. So he forgave, because Jayce decided to stay.
Their foreheads rest together and Viktor breathes a sigh of near-relief that at least it is over.
