Keith Kogane luck kinda sucks right now, first he loses Shiro and finds him again, his sister that went missing under mysterious circumstances might be in space?! Plus he's millions of miles away from earth and can't talk to Adam about any of this. All while stopping Pidge, who's forgotten that the rest don't she’s a girl, from putting herself in danger to find her dad and Matt. Also this Taylor kid he had a crush on is named Lance!?
Kiara Kogane is not having a great few months, like at all. First her somewhat boyfriend and brother/dad figure get lost in space, and she's up here too now accidentally alerting the B.O.M. to her location with some of her mom's old stuff while trying to find stuff on Shiro and Matt. Then she finds out that Shiro escaped and went back to earth, and now is back up here with Keith and Katie, as well as Lance and Hunk. They have all managed to find the presumed dead Princess Allura and her adviser Coran because of course they did.
Now both siblings try to find each other and keep their loved ones safe while trying to hopefully one day get back to Earth and Adam. Plus if romance starts up here they definitely aren't complaining.

Keith always knew he was different, even if the pictures of his purple mother didn't give it away, the slight claws and fangs did. When Keith's mother left, she left him a legacy, and a being to protect.
The blue lion. His family, himself, his mother and his father, had spent as long as he was alive protecting it. His mother said he had to make sure nobody found it besides it's paladin.
So, he didn't leave the desert and when his father died, moving him to foster care, he ran away back to the shack. Shiro always tried to get him out of it but was never successful, but he coudn't, he would finish the lion if it was the last thing he did.
The problem was he thought the Galra finding it a lot more likely, not the paladins coming to retrieve it. So what does he do now?

Summary
Lance knows his close quarters combat isn’t the best, so when Shiro tells Lance he’s going to train him he should be relieved because maybe now he can actually protect his team. Except the training seems to be more of a beatdown punctuated by both fists and cruel words and now Lance has to hide the results of such before he makes tensions in Voltron even worse. But that’s harder than planned on as Keith is both very observant and very, very concerned.
“Do you think the Galra Empire will care that you’re tired?” Shiro interrupted him. “Do you think they’ll go easy on you because you’ve been fighting all day?”
“No, but—”
“There are no buts, Lance,” Shiro cut him off. “Either you want to be a Paladin your team can count on or you don’t.”

Lance tipped his head back and looked up at the tall ceiling of the ballroom. It was something he couldn’t help but do now that he was an experienced sniper. He followed the line of two pillars up and up, past the balcony and into the rafters. There—that was the best spot. You’d be able to see everything from there: the ballroom floor, the balcony, even the entryway all the way to the main doors.
He wasn’t expecting to see something shift though, and he watched in horror as a masked and cloaked figure appeared, lining up a rifle and pointing down into the crowd of people on the ballroom floor.
Or: A diplomatic gala takes an unexpected turn when Lance intercepts an assassination attempt on one of their allies. Leaving Lance injured and the others scrambling for answers, they enter a race against the clock to find who is responsible. They don’t know who did it, no one’s coming forward, and Lance is running out of time.
