The revolution had been a success. They were finally free... Or were they?
The aftermath of the revolution left Detroit desolate. Most of the residents had evacuated, save for the select few that were homeless, or too high on red ice, let alone function properly in any other society.
Although, aside from that, everything else seemed to be going smoothly. Despite having minor complications with coming to terms with his deviancy, Connor had managed to become an official officer of the DPD.
And Hank... Was still Hank.
The only problem is... How will they all react when they find out Markus has a mysterious person coming after him? He's in need of a bodyguard, but the only person he remotely trusts for that job...
Is Connor.

The revolution is over, the androids won their freedom peacefully, and many big changes are happening. Hank hasn't seen Connor in weeks, in fact, he hasn't seen him in person since the encounter in CyberLife tower. Cyberlife is up to some shady business given that many laws still have loopholes or aren't finalized. Hank is willing to do whatever is needed to get Connor back, even if it means starting over.

Markus turns over, kneeling before Simon. He can feel Simon's heart beating within his own chest, it was the worst feeling. It was unnatural, but fit as it had belonged, maybe in any other moment Markus would have enjoyed being so close to Simon. But not like this.
He puts a hand on Simon's shoulder, the blond returns the action in a shaky and quick movement.
"Markus." He says, jaded. His eyes are slightly unfocused, and his voice crackles and glitches as his mechanic vocal cords work harder than they ever had before.
"Simon." Markus whimpers back at him. He grasps at Simon's arms, as if he were disappearing. He grabs at anything he can hold, and then it hits him. Hold. He'll never hold the pale boy before him. He'll never hug him again. No other model would be Simon.
"Markus, I-"
"Simon, I'm so-"
Even on his companion's death bed, he still manages to get flustered around him. The snow falls beside the two, and Simon cracks the smallest, fondest smile he can muster in this state.
