Or: Wilbur died one year ago. His death allows his two brothers to discuss some bottled up emotions, bringing them closer than before.

Tommy would’ve gladly escaped out the realm of his shackling body and into the depths of his utmost desires, if not for the gun etching into the front of his skull. He’d try to think back to what past him—days ago—was thinking when he called that number, when he played that game, when he stupidly conversed with that rich fuck.
As he’s brought out of his thoughts by the shot of a gun go off and a body, not even 5 feet away from him, drop helplessly to the ground. Tommy couldn’t help but flinch, as his motions grew more careful yet manic after that display. There’s no way he’s gonna fuckin’ die here over a stupid sugar cookie. The Great TommyInnit rebukes the thought of dying so lamely, (While another part can’t help but feel relief at the thought of feeling the sweet release of death).
‘..Theseus.. ?’
On the other end of the gun Techno can’t help but let himself panic—just a bit—at the sight of his little brother subjected to these wicked games. A million thoughts raced towards him, as if there were multiple people in his head, screaming at him all at once. As he watched his poor little brother sweat and panic through the lingering smell of despair and death, Techno couldn’t help but wonder, why them.

It hasn't stormed since he got here. In fact, a lot has happened since it last stormed.
The day it last did, time raced quicker than a blur. It felt like he was running out of time, it felt like time was running away from him. People his mother called ‘bad men’ with guns barged into his home—though they all promised him they were going to keep him safe—that was the last time he saw his parents in casual clothing, and not orange scrubs.
The months after that went too fast. He could barely remember why he's here in the first place, why he's now under Phil's care. The orphanage said he was ‘qualified enough’, but to Techno, he is more than that.
Phil doesn't own a bat. Phil didn't raise his voice. And Phil didn't give him bruises.

The first time Techno saw Tommy’s ghost, he didn't scream. He didn't call for his neighbours—not that he has any left alive—nor did he take a crucifix and pray. He will never be a religious man. And he will never refuse a chance to see his little brother again.
The boy was pale and his features were sunken. There were still specks of blood on his temples, just as when he died, though Techno made sure he was clean and spotless.
But Tommy significantly lit-up when he realised his older brother can see him. And Tommy ran straight into his arms with that same grin on his face that would leave Techno empty when he'd reminisce.
Techno smiled back at him, the first time in months that his lips formed anything other than a quivering frown. It immediately dropped the moment Tommy fell through him.

A notification makes his phone buzz. Though he refuses to take his eyes off of the framed picture of younger-Tommy with his ice cream and his cow stuffed toy, he checks it anyway. The police might have found some traces of his whereabouts.
There aren’t any new notifications on his phone. Or rather, he’s choosing to ignore them so long as they are not about his brother.
He has fucked-up, he knows. He had failed to see Tommy struggling, hurting, aching. He’d do anything for it to not be too late. He’d do anything to be able to turn back time—not to undo the things he has done, but to do the things he wasn’t able to do.
