Dior felt strangely detached, as if he had stepped out of his body. He watched himself fall over the body of the Golodh he’d slain. Dior had worn no helm nor armor that day – and he saw his hair fan out to cover them both. They died together in the dark cloak of it.
Dior’s eyes closed, and all was dark.

And then Dior opened his eyes.

Summary
Born and raised in the mountains and being a Marine for a good 27 years, reaching the rank of Colonel, Abigail Black knows what she is doing, thank you very much. Her 45 years of living have taught her many things, and her days as a Staff Sergeant at Paris Island taught her a great deal of patience… or so she assumed. Dealing with dwarves tends to eat at even the strongest willed former drill instructors. Though, just because she was a drill instructor, and is a battle-torn Marine Colonel who is also a renowned sniper, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have dreams, or fantasies, or fandoms. Will she and her spotter, Sergeant Major Orisa Byrne who also happens to be a fan of Tolkien, though not as versed in Tolkien history as Black, be able to control themselves when they find they have been thrown into Middle Earth, or will they both hardcore geek out? Will Black lose herself completely over a frustratingly handsome and arrogantly stubborn dwarf king? What about Byrne, will she be able to convince a tired and lonely bowman to let himself love again?

Summary
My own take on the infamous waterfall scene, exploring Elrond's motivations. The first chapter is canon compliant (and explains how Elrond managed to take the rings in the first place), where as the second chapter leaves canon behind in favor of whumpy, hurt/comforty goodness and Galadriel and Elrond actually TALKING!
"Every time Elrond tried to speak to Galadriel about their plans going forward or about the Man who had come with her, the fraudulent king, she brushed him off. The rings ever drew her gaze, cold and stoic, and for the few moments he could hold her attention, it was almost as if she looked through him instead of at him.
His mother had looked at him much the same way."

Summary
Earth is in a dire situation. Chief Scientist Thranduil, along with other
developers and scientists lead the development and construction of
the New Worlds. These worlds are floating above Earth's atmosphere
and are kept adrift by the Silmarils, which were designed and created
by Chief Engineer Fëanor.
Thranduil, along with his son Legolas, and best friend Elrond, were the last
scientists to leave Earth, along with engineers and civilians, to move into the
final constructed world, Terrene 19.
Terrene 1-19 is now their new home, as returning to Earth is impossible
due to its uninhabitable conditions.Series

Summary
Life sang through Elwing’s blood with a Song inherited from Melian. The Silmaril Sang with it and shone so bright it blinded her to anything else but its light. The wind kept rushing over her form, ripping her dark hair every which way and the sea below seemed to also Sing.
Then Elwing wasn’t falling anymore. Something shifted in fëa and hröa, and Elwing’s world became white feathers before her sight cleared up and was sharper than ever. She was flying...
------
What if the Silmarils could fundamentally change an elf over the course of centuries? Elwing and Eärendil have one, Maglor and Maedhros had the other two. This is the story of how they changed, what have they become, and what have they got up to that made them myths, legends and folktales across Middle-earth.

Summary
In an alternate universe where Morgoth cursed all the descendants of Míriel and their followers to be vampires and the descendants of Indis and their followers to be werebeasts, the rebellious Ñoldor have been forced to live in Beleriand for six hundred seventy six years and honor an uneasy truce that Manwë made with Melkor to preserve Arda. Now making his way in the modern world and using old magic to improve new technology, Caranthir believes that his younger brother Curufin has finally stumbled upon a way to break Morgoth's curse. There are only a few problems.
First: The cure requires an indeterminate number of Silmarils.
Two: Curufin, along with Celegorm, assaulted and attempted to kidnap Beren and Lúthien after they destroyed Tol-in-Gauroth and sent Sauron fleeing East, and they're currently two years into a ten year jail sentence.
Three: Ulmo might have forbidden Beren and Lúthien from attacking any more Úmaiarin fortresses, but he didn't say anything about Finrod Felagund, who just so happens to owe Beren's father a life debt.
Four: Finrod Felagund is Caranthir's ex-lover.

Summary
Fleeing the Balrog and Orcs in Moria, Legolas Greenleaf is shot down with an arrow. He dies upon the bridge, unaware of the fates of his Fellowship, and wakes up moments later with the intention of finding his mother, escaping the Halls of Mandos and re-joining the War of the Ring. This would be a lot easier if he was actually in the Halls of Mandos however, instead of at Losgar as the Noldor arrive in Beleriand from Valinor for the first time.

The annals record this:
The cruel servants of Celegorn seize Dior's sons…and leave them to starve in the forest. (Nothing is known about their fate, but some say that the birds succoured them, and led them to Ossir.)*What has been lost is this:
Elurín and Eluréd did not die. They came close, certainly; but when all seemed lost, they found someone who taught them how to survive, and who taught them the language of the birds.History has forgotten the sons of Dior, but they have not forgotten how to make history.

For the sake of introducing new readers to the silmarillon, I've made some broad summaries of bits I find important, and stuff that'll probably get brought up in my fic: Crown of Flame Imperishable.
1: A very broad summary of the First Age, focused on Melkor.
2: The Arkenstone is not a Silmaril : an essay on important canon details.
3: Why we blame Breaking The World on NúmenorSeries
