This series is centered around the rise of the Venom Dominion, a mysterious military organization that threatens the Lylat System. Proving themselves to be both elusive and dangerous, the Venom Dominion is eager to take its place in the galaxy, no matter the cost. Star Fox will be tested in more ways than one as they face this new opponent, and it will take more than just courage and skill to overcome the terrible obstacles before them. It is not just violence that they face, but they must overcome challenges from the past and even face the darkness within themselves. They must succeed or be destroyed. All of Lylat hangs in the balance.

This is a fan crossover between several entries in the “Shock” timeline of games, and other games as well. (System Shock, Bioshock Infinite, Half-Life 2 – starring Ross Scott’s caricature of Gordon Freeman, from the web series Freeman’s Mind; and Marathon.) Several months have been spent developing this massive piece of work, and after initial submission to DeviantArt, it is now here for a more sophisticated crowd to read.

Thanks to a multi-cause multiversal snafu, people from various works of fiction are being deposited into what would otherwise be a universe indistinguishable from real life beginning in late-2016. Trustworthy natives (including the self-insert characters of the writing circle, who are outnumbered by original characters) are originally tasked with making sure these "displacees" have a place to live, but will end up taking on additional responsibilities ... especially when some displacees decide they don't like the arrangements in their new universe. Some will jump at the call to defend their new homes. Others will refuse it. Many will not be called at all. And they all have places in this world.
