He cooks for Zuko, loving the flush on his face when he sees that Zhao is making something for him, that Zhao is the kind of person who cares enough to do it. And if the meals are heavy with béchamel sauce; if the pasta is heaped on Zuko’s plate in massive portions; if they’re followed with red velvet cake, with eclairs, with apple pie still warm from the oven… Well, that’s also a sign of Zhao’s love.
