He’s wearing an Akademiya uniform and is as tall as the last time Alhaitham saw him (fifteen minutes ago) which means he’s an inch or two shorter than the last time Alhaitham saw him, because the uniform boots are heeled. He’s staring at Alhaitham with the aforementioned flush spreading like dye over the silk of his cheeks.
“Kaveh,” Alhaitham says. “Don’t freak out. I believe I’ve been displaced in time.”

The blonde blushed deeply from that, leaning against Wriothesley's touch. “Yeah, maybe you should. We should totally just mess around to teach them both a lesson.”In which Wriothesley hired the Traveler to help him organize a wedding in Meropide, and he bonded with the pretty blonde architect, formulating a plan to get both Neuvillette and Alhaitham to acknowledge their relationships.

Though it made sense in a cold, rational way, such a logical and disinterested proposal for Kaveh to willingly sacrifice his heart for nothing more than mora cut deep into his chest. And worst of all... Alhaitham was unaware that Kaveh’s heart could never even belong to anyone but him - that he was already the sole benefactor of Kaveh’s silent longing, having stolen Kaveh’s heart against his will long ago.
Kaveh curled around his pillow as if the soft cotton of his pillowcase could offer a reprieve from the turmoil churning deep in his stomach. He’d long since made peace with his unrequited love for Alhaitham, resigning himself to a lifetime of suppressed yearning - but this? This was torture, plain and simple, demanding mental gymnastics that Kaveh wasn’t confident he was flexible enough to contort himself into.

Will pressed his face to the glass, wishing that he were closer. The man’s cheeks were pale, having thick eyebrows and lips. His nose was long, though it didn’t disrupt the harmony of the man’s features. His eyes were the most captivating part of his face: wide and brown, reflecting the moonlight.
In other words, he was beautiful.
Will found himself blushing, feeling foolish for swooning over the knight, who clearly was just doing his job. He couldn’t help but itch for his parchment and ink, to see the man up close, take in those eyes when they weren’t forced to remain a disciplined neutral.
Or: William Byers is a prince under King Henry's rule, known for being one of the most exceptional clerics of the entire lands. In comparison, his life remains pretty lackluster, and Will is convinced that nothing more will ever come of it.
That is, until a certain Sir Michael Wheeler is elected as Will's personal knight.

A retelling and fix it of sorts on how I think Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 and the ending should have gone because a) the plot actually REQUIRED a Byler endgame b) the fans had much better theories than whatever I was made to watch.
