    As a child, Greg believed that monsters lived under his bed. At 25, Greg knows that monsters don’t live under his bed, but in his bed, holding him close in a tight grip that’s impossible to get out of.

    It had started out as small comments that turned into insults during arguments that turned into a rough slap across his cheek that turned into apologies and promises of never doing it again. Except it would happen again, over and over and over.

     

    Or: Greg has an abusive boyfriend. When Tom finds out, he helps Greg leave the relationship.
