Fyodor had lost count of how many days he'd been in prison. He'd never cared much for it, if he had to be honest, but counting was a way to keep himself entertained.
In fact, no other prisoners were interested in engaging in a conversation with him. There were only a few other people in his side of Meursault, and most of them were physically far from him. He didn't mind the silence, it gave him time to enjoy the company of himself and his thoughts.***
Or, while in prison, Fyodor has the time to think about he, Nikolai, and the feelings he has for him.

Summary
Applause fills the giant tent after Nikolai announces the first act, doing a grand bow like he's done for years now. The crowd laughs, they cheer. His gaze sweeps through them all and he smiles wide, waving at some of the kids he sees giving him wide-eyed stares that are filled with awe. Oh, how he did love the circus. It was such a magical place where the impossible became possible.
A magical place where he got to throw pies at people, watch ten clowns somehow fit into a tiny car, and launch his dear friend out of a cannon.
But it was also where he got to see Fyodor Dostoevsky, the only audience he cared most for, crack even the smallest grin at his tricks and mischief. Oh, how he did love the circus.

“Kolya?” He called, voice still rough with sleep, the aforementioned man perked up at the mention of his name. Nikolai grinned up at Fyodor, his messy white hair falling out his braid to frame his face, despite clearly just waking up himself, Nikolai was full of his usual energy,
“Good morning!” Nikolai greeted, careful to keep quiet in consideration of the barely conscious man beneath him. Fyodor blinked a few times before sighing deeply,

Summary
The jingle of the bells rang for the third time in his ears, a tune familiar by now. Nikolai was just waving off another customer with his usual enthusiasm as he spotted Fyodor.
“Oh my, mister! You’re practically a regular by now!”
"Mm."
"Ne, would you tell me your name? So I can address ya properly, ya know."
“Could you make me another bouquet?” Fyodor responded. “Smaller, this time.”
Nikolai stood for a moment more before gathering the flowers Fyodor took the initiative to ask for with his usual cheery response, ignoring the fact that he was slightly butthurt at not getting an answer to his question.
Fyodor was surprised to hear himself making small talk. “You started this flower shop, correct?”

Fyodor comes across a peculiar flower shop in a small countryside town, and finds himself drawn back to it again and again. First for its flowers, and then for its owner.
After all, there was often something interesting to be found in that which is peculiar.

"You're doing just fine with me," Nikolai points out.
Fyodor smiles, finishing his wiping and letting go of Nikolai's face. The warmth leaves him as he does. "Yes, I wonder why that is."

How horrible is that? He feels nothing for the man who abandoned his own freedom, the one he was so obsessed with, to live with Fyodor and be his personal aid. He feels nothing for the man who smiles at him so fondly and showers him with kisses every morning. He feels nothing for the man who dresses him every day, cooks him food for every meal of the day, runs warm water for him and bathes him himself.

Summary
When Fyodor planned today's terrorist attack, he wasn't expecting to get trapped in Poe's revisited novel. Unless that this time, Nikolai and him won't have to resolve some boring murder mystery; instead, a stage and some theater critics are waiting for their best performance to unfold. Much to Fyodor's misfortune, damned novelist hates the hell out of him and reserved for him the role of the enamoured prince, dying to finally embrace his jester knight (whom hands are around Fyodor's waist -according to his own role, strictly for professional purposes, of course- and he's fighting the urge to drop the mask and kiss his real-life demonic crush. Nikolai can gloat, it's reciprocated, even if Fyodor would rather die than admit it).

“Everyone makes mistakes, even geniuses.” Pout and puppy eyes disguising mocking malice. “Although it could have been avoided if said genius had his mind focused on enemies instead of having thoughts clouded by some jester of his. As unreadable as you are, Fyodor, some of your lingering glances speak volume.”
Fyodor chose to play dumb.
